Mrs. McElveen received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and her Masters of Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Francis Marion University. Her passion is to help others with their life stressors. Suzette works with both children and adults for a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.
Therapy is not magic and life does not have a hand book! During your therapy journey, I will walk beside you and partner with you. As a therapist, I strive to assist you in processing your thoughts, feelings, reactions and implementing techniques that will focus on the life you seek to live. The environment will be safe and nonjudgmental as we explore strategies that will aid you to move toward your goals.
I have worked with children, adolescents,women and families for over 18 years. I worked within school and home settings, on a military installation and within a community based setting open service site that focused on serving individuals that otherwise would not receive mental health support. I am rostered to provide Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
I utilize several therapy techniques such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Family therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. However, regardless of the technique, compassionate and person focused service is my goal. I look forward to starting this journey with you!
Caitlin, completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Coker College and received a M.S. in Clinical Counseling from Francis Marion University. Caitlin is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). Caitlin brings a warm inviting presence to the counseling environment. Seeking out counseling can be one of the hardest things you do, but Caitlin makes a point to help you see just how strong you really are. She works with children, teens, and adults of all backgrounds and walks of life. Caitlin uses several approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy and person-centered techniques to encourage growth and promote healing.
Ms. Peterkin has been serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families for over 15 years. She uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Reality Based, and psycho-education to assist her clients with working on gaining insight about their behavior and improving functioning. A holistic, strength based and person centered approach guides her practice.
